# Create General (Other) Recipes

## Overview

In the DDOE annotation platform, a **Recipe** is a configuration that defines the annotation workflow for a specific project. It determines the available tools, labeling structure, and guidelines used to annotate data, ensuring consistency and efficiency across datasets and tasks.

Use a single recipe to standardize how data is prepared and annotated across different data types and machine learning tasks.

## Start Creating Recipes for General Tasks

1. Open **Recipes** from the left-hand navigation panel.
2. Click **Create Recipe** to bring up the configuration dialog.

1. Choose the **Other** option from the list.
2. Choose the **Generic Recipe** option from the list.
3. Click **Create Recipe**. The recipe page is displayed and start configuring the following:
  - Labels
  - Attributes
  - Annotation tools
  - Instructions
  - Advanced Settings.

## Start Creating Recipe for Custom Studios

1. Open **Recipes** from the left-hand navigation panel.
2. Click **Create Recipe** to bring up the configuration dialog.

1. Choose the **Other** option from the list.
2. Choose the **Custom Studio** option from the list.
3. Select a Custom Studio from the list, if not available create one.
4. Click **Create Recipe**. The recipe page is displayed and start configuring the following:
  - Labels
  - Attributes
  - Annotation tools
  - Instructions
  - Advanced Settings.
