My Projects

Prev Next

The My Projects page is the central workspace in DDOE for viewing and managing all projects you are a member of. It provides a consolidated dashboard of your projects, making it easy to access project information, monitor project activity, and create new projects when you have the required permissions.

Each project is displayed as a card containing key project details, including the:

  • Project ID

  • Project Creator

  • Created Date

  • Last Updated Date

  • Number of Users,

  • and the associated Billing Organization.

From this page, you can quickly search for projects, open a project to access its dashboard, or create additional projects if permitted.

Create Projects

When you first create an account and log in, you are provided with an option to begin your first project. If you do not have any projects, you will receive a notification to create one. If you are a member of an organization and have the permissions, you can also create a new project and become the project-owner. To create a new or extra project, follow these instructions:

  1. Click My Projects from the left-side menu, or click the project name (breadcrumbs) → Add Project.

  2. Click Add New Project. A popup window is displayed.

  3. Enter the name of the new project and click Confirm.

Access My Projects

To access the My Projects page, click on the sidebar menu and then select My Projects.

Access a Project

To access a project from the My Projects page, click on Open Project on the card to view the project, or alternatively, search for a specific project. This action will direct you to the Project Dashboard page, where you can explore additional details about the selected project.

System Projects and Bots

Every organization automatically includes a System Project and an Organization (Org) Bot. These are created by the platform and provide a centralized way to run organization-wide services and automations.

What Gets Created Automatically?

When a new organization is created, the platform automatically creates:

  1. System Project

    • Named: {Organization Name} System Project

    • Owned by the organization creator

  2. Org Bot

    • Named: {Organization Name} System Bot

    • Added to the System Project by default

    • Automatically becomes a member of every project in the organization

  3. System Project Bot

    • Created specifically for the System Project

    • Functions like standard project bots.

System Project

A System Project is automatically created when a new organization is created. It serves as the default location for configuring organization-wide services and automations.

Creation

When an organization is created, the platform automatically creates:

  • {Organization Name} System Project

  • Owned by the organization creator

Key Features

  • Behaves like a regular project for human users.

  • Users can:

    • Invite members

    • Manage project permissions

    • Configure services and applications

  • Displays a System badge on the My Projects page.

  • Shows a banner across project-related pages:

You're in a System Project. Services configured here can apply at the project or organization level.

Restrictions

The following actions are not allowed:

  • Rename the System Project

  • Delete the System Project

  • Archive the System Project

  • Move the System Project to another organization/account

  • Claim ownership of the System Project

Lifecycle

  • The System Project cannot be manually removed.

  • It is automatically deleted when its parent organization is deleted.

Bots

A bot is a dummy project user with 'Developer' role permissions used for running services on the platform, including DDOE application or user scripts. It functions as a regular user with all associated permissions and is recorded as the annotation creator if a service function creates an annotation.

Search Projects

To ease the search process, it is possible to search projects by their name or project ID.

Project ID

You can get the project ID by either copying it from the URL or by entering the project and clicking on project details.

Projects Counter

  • Total Projects: The Total Projects counter on the top right side of the My Projects page displays the number of projects you are a member of.

  • My Projects: The My Projects counter displays the number of projects created by you.

Billed to an Account

Each project belongs to an account. Changing the owning org of the project will also affect the billing account. For more information, see the Orgs and Accounts articles.
