Dataloops’ annotation automation tools enable accelerated annotation work and increased productivity and accuracy. Annotation automation tools mostly are accessible through the 3-dots action button located above the annotations list on the right-side panel.
The 3-dots action button is visible only when one or more annotation is selected, and applies to all selected annotations.

Copy Annotations From the Previous Item
To copy annotations from the previous item to the current one using a dedicated button, do as follows:
- Perform a requested annotation on a required image item or video frame.
Go to the next item or video-frame, where you want to copy the annotation and click on Copy annotation from previous items icon.
In the pop-up message screen, confirm the operation.
A toast message will indicate if the operation succeeded or not. Note that a common reason for not being able to complete the annotations-copy operation is when the target image is smaller than the original image (or just a different aspect ratio), which results in annotations falling outside its boundaries.
Copied annotations will be shown as having a machine as their creator (source). After editing an annotation, it will be tagged as having the user as its source.
