CPUIntel(R) Pentium(R)3805@ 1.90GHz x 2 Processor 64 bit
Screen resolution1920 x 1080
Internet connectionSpeed test: Download:18.61 Mbps / Upload: 15.68 Mbps / Ping: 31 ms

Browser Requirements

You can use any of the following browsers to access the Dataloop console:

Supported BrowserMinimum Version
Chrome47
Safari9
Firefox45
Opera36
Edge12

Dataloop recommends using Google Chrome. If you encounter issues using the web interface with any of the listed browsers, please contact Dataloop Support.

Recipe and Ontology

TypeRecommended
Labels400 labels per ontology
Attributes100 attributes per ontology

Data-Management NextGen - 2024

TypeRecommended
Items in the DatasetMaximum 25,000,000 items
Annotations in joined queriesMaximum 7,000,000 items
Unique custom metadata keys on items in datasetMaximum is 100 for searchable keys. To overcome this, refer to the Unsearchable Metadata article.
Item JSON file sizeMaximum 100KB
Maximum download file size from the platform2GB
Schema enforcement in DatasetMetadata path must contain same value type across the dataset
Search size per each search key/value1024 Bytes
Item filename(full path including dirs)1024 chars
Annotation label1024 chars
Annotation attributesMax 100 per annotation

Queries limitations:

QueryRecommended
Maximum total filter terms in a query20 terms
Maximum metadata filter terms in a query10 terms
Max sort terms in a query3 terms
Sorting over custom metadataCurrently not supported
Filter by annotation MetadataNot supported

Dataloop permits the storage and querying of over 25,000,000 items and unlimited annotations in a dataset, However, join queries between items and annotations are limited to searching over max 7M annotations.

Supported File Formats

TypeRecommended
ImageJPG, JPEG, PNG, TIFF
VideoWEBM, MP4, MOV
AudioWAV, MP3, OGG, FLAC*, M4A, AAC
LidarPCD
NLP / NERTXT, JSON, EML, PDF
Note
  • Audio Studio: The FLAC format is a lossless audio format that preserves the original audio quality without any degradation. To reduce file size and improve platform performance, we recommend converting FLAC files to MP3.
  • Video Studio: Dataloop supports various file types as mentioned above, but the video annotation will be performed on WEBM format. For more information, see the WEBM article.

Image Item

TypeRecommended
Size15 MB
FormatsRefer to the Supported File Formats section.
Resolution24.0 MP
Total annotations1,000

Valid EXIF values are 1 to 8. Values outside this range (for example, 0) are ignored.
Read more about Exif orientation values.

Audio Item

TypeRecommended
AnnotationsUp to 300
Recommended formatRefer to the Supported File Formats section.
Recommended audio sizeUp to 100 MB
Important

A 20-minute audio file may be larger than a 1-hour file, as audio file size depends on factors like bitrate, compression, encoding settings, format, sample rate, and audio complexity. Thus, a 17-minute file can surpass a 1-hour one if it has a higher bitrate or less efficient compression.

Video Item

TypeRecommended
LengthUnder 5 minutes and 30 FPS
Recommended formatRefer to the Supported File Formats section.
Recommended storageDataloop Storage
Recommended video size50 MB
Total annotationsUp to 200

Storing videos on external cloud storage (S3/GCS/Azure) can lead to latency issues when serving videos to annotators. For optimal video annotation performance, it is recommended to store video files on Dataloop's storage.
